Healing Yourself And Others

Artical Meditation Benefits

As you connect to the life force within you through meditation, you can begin consciously to direct it to start the healing process in yourself and others.  The life force within you is your natural healing and balancing energy. All healing is ultimately self-healing.  We can not “heal” someone else, but we can direct energy and positive suggestions for health and wholeness which another may accept on deep levels of his being, effecting a healing within his body.

The great thing about this is that in the energy of the mind there is no time or space, so healing may be directed to a person whether near or far.

When my sister was struggling with cancer in Boston, I did a healing prayer and healing meditation for her and I live in California.  Here is the method I used.

Sending Healing to Others

1. Put your hands in prayer position or fold together.  Close your eyes.

2. In your mind, picture the person as clearly as possible that you wish to send healing.  See this person as happy, healthy, and doing something that suggests health.

3. Concentrate on this image with intensity until it feels real.  Create the emotional feeling of happiness and well being within yourself, and project it into this image. The stronger the feeling, the better.

4. After about two minutes, take a deep breath, relax, and turn your palms up. Continue to focus gently on the image, now seeing the person completely engulfed in the white light healing energy, which is balancing and harmonizing body, mind and spirit.

5. Mentally repeat to this person, “The natural state of your being is health and wholeness.”

6. After about two minutes, release the image from your mind, close your palms, and open your eyes.  Surround yourself with the white light.

You can do this for yourself as well as others.

White Light Surrounds You In Peace and Joy,

Michele
